The Canadian Press: 'Late Late Show' host Craig Ferguson remakes late-night talk with silliness, smarts

Craig Ferguson is closing the viewership gap between him and Conan O'Brien
"In the past year, he has narrowed the gap from 610,000 viewers to 120,000."

It remains to be seen if Ferguson can stay that close now that the writers' strike has been settled. Ferguson had his writers during the latter part of the strike as the Worldwide Pants production group negotiated a separate peace with the scribes. Conan flew without the scribes every single night and his show sucked long and hard during that period, so that had to drive some viewers to Ferguson. Will they stay now?

  1. I disagree. Conan's show was BETTER during the writers strike. He was great and innovative. The only downside was the lack of quality guests who would cross the picket lines to be on his show, which may have hurt his ratings.

  2. “I’m comin’ for you, you Irish bastard!” Ferguson said, “Victory shall be mine. They’ll change the name of our production company to Worldwide Kilts!”
