R.I.P.: Reno Bertoia

R.I.P.: Reno Bertoia

Mostly I remember him as a baseball card from 1956-60. He was a weak-hitting utility infielder, but he hung in the majors for 10 years with his glove and his versatility. There are some interesting things to say about him:

He was the last Major Leaguer born in Italy.

He was raised in Windsor, Ontario

He was 5'12".

He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988.

I gotta be honest. I didn't know until just now that there was a Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
