Tea Party Group Wants To Soften Slavery In Textbooks
As well they should. It's well known that the slaves could have left at any time but chose to be whipped, exploited and abused in every possible way. Just think of the Confederacy as a big, fun European S&M club where those nutty slaves just forgot their safe word!
Note: I used this for a few laughs, but this is actually an old story which has been recycled for some reason, presumably related to polarizing politics. It appears to be exactly a year old, based on this story.
That's a terrible article. 'Tea Party Activist...'. 'Many members of the group...' What group? The Tea Party? Which isn't actually a party, or a real group with any central organization? If you read the article, one jackhole called someone up and claimed to represent a group of people involved in the Tea Party and said this crap. He's the only source cited, there's no identity given to his 'group', and there's absolutely no sourcing on any -actual- contact or action by said group.
