REWIND: 100 Movies In The Public Domain

REWIND: 100 Movies In The Public Domain
There are some worthwhile films on this list. You can download or watch them all at archive.org.

Charade, a Hitchcock clone starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.

McLintock, a western remake of Taming of the Shrew, with John Wayne

One-Eyed Jacks, the only film directed by Brando.

Shoot The Piano Player, Truffaut's truly weird combination of absurd humor and crime melodrama.

The Road to Bali, the last of the Lamour-Hope-Crosby pairings

The Brother From Another Planet, a 1984 John Sayles film that slipped onto the list because of a legal foul-up.

Carnival of Souls, quite a spooky low-budget horror film.

The original Night of the Living Dead

The cult favorite Reefer Madness.

Creature From the Haunted Sea, a hilarious zero-budget comedy/horror/noir mash-up.

Plan 9 From Outer Space

The Gold Rush, Phantom of the Opera, Nosferatu, Metropolis, Faust, Battleship Potemkin, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Le Voyage Dans La Lune and other masterpieces of the silent era.

The Blue Angel, the von Sternberg movie which made Marlene Dietrich famous.

Freaks, the legendary "one of us" film made with real sideshow performers.

Terror of Tiny Town, which is the only western made entirely with little people (riding ponies).

I just found that website myself a few days ago when I was looking for the complete serial of The Adventures of Captain Marvel from Republic Pictures. (and am planning to go back and see if they have Spy Smasher as well).

Speaking of serials, the Flash Gordon serial might be on there since it is public domain as well.
