Sarah Palin: "Bill Nye Is as Much a Scientist as I Am"
Actually, for perhaps the first time in her life, Palin is right. Nye has no science degree at all, and has no advanced degree in any subject. Like Sarah Palin, he is a college graduate. Furthermore, his comments on Deflategate demonstrated that he has zero comprehension of the Ideal Gas Law and its use in calculations.
That being noted, it's probably still fair to say that Bill Nye the Entertainment Guy knows a helluva lot more about science than Sarah Palin. If they are going to play Science Jeopardy, I'm willing to give you 10-1 odds and take all the action you want if you want to bet on Palin.
You really didn't want to piss off that many Engineers did you? Bill Nye has a BS in Mechanical Engineering. We Engineers tend to believe that we ARE scientists.
