Oh it's *method* acting, a lot goes into it. She has to search he past for a time when she was being her own best friend. Then she has to recall everything about it - her mental state, her expectations, her fears, etc. Then she has to recreate the experience on film as best she can. There's the blocking, lines to memorize, costume fittings, time in the make-up chair - it takes a lot of craft and effort to make it look so effortless. God knows how many takes they had to shoot before they got it right.
That does not appear to be acting.
