Looks like the Department of the Interior spent $139k on a door
I don't think Zinke had anything to do with this, but he's one of my least favorite Trump apointments. On his very first full day in office, he rescinded the ban on lead bullets and lead fishing tackle in national wildlife refuges, a move which is really so inexplicable and so indefensible that it can not be called merely stupid. It is either corrupt or insane. (Guess which powerful lobbying group was behind that. You caught the brass ring if you said the NRA.)
Zinke had a great career in the military and on the football field. He might be a perfectly good under secretary, deputy secretary, or assistant secretary of defense. But his nomination to Interior is an insult to the memory of Teddy Roosevelt and all the great men and women who dedicated their lives to preserve and protect America's "great outdoors."
"Only the BEST people!", part 239.
