BBC chairman Gavyn Davies has resigned in the wake of Lord Hutton's criticisms of the corporation's reports. In his resignation, Davies assured the public that all of BBC's blatant lies and misrpresentation were all made in the cause of jolly fun and well-founded partisanship, and that people should not have assumed that BBC is a legitimate news operation. Lord Hutton also "deplored" the leak of some his papers to the Sun newspaper, most particularly the pictures of topless chicks typing his final draft.
