There is a rumor that Cher will finally end her seven-decade 'Farewell Tour' with a series of shows in Australia early next year. This may be the all-time quintessential example of "milking" a farewell, possibly excepting Jimmy Durante walking off into the three spotlights, pausing to look back and wave from each spot.
