- Bush is 280, Kerry at 254, with only 4 votes undecided. Kerry also went back up to a 13 point lead in California, where a victory is critical to his chances.
- In order to win, Senator Kerry needs to take 16 more electoral votes (270 needed to win). New Hampshire has four votes up for grabs, and President Bush has another 32 electoral votes in the "weak" column: Nevada, New Mexico, Iowa, Missouri, and Maine. Al Gore won three of the six states I mentioned. Gore barely won New Mexico and Iowa, and won Maine by a fairly comfortable margin. Those three states possess EXACTLY the 16 votes Kerry needs, so he's not dead yet, by any means.
