Kerry's edge on Bush narrows in California. It appears that President Bush might actually have won the state if he hadn't ignored it. Senator Kerry's lead had been cut to seven points, with 9% undecided! Senator Kerry dominates the far-left enclaves like the San Francisco area (63 to 28!), but President Bush is making up a lot of that ground with solid performances in the middle-American suburbia of Southern California - Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange County and San Diego.
