Scientists have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death. ... Yes, scientists at the prestigious George Romero University have succeeded in reviving the dogs after three hours of clinical death, paving the way for trials on humans within years. OK, maybe I made up the name of the school, but the rest is really in the story.
Using certain types of anti-freeze, they might be able to get the temperature to just below zero, at which point they could preserve the subjects for much longer periods of time. Besides medical applications, the concept could be used in space exploration.
