Any Top 50 Science Fiction list that does not include "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" shows itself to be completely ridiculous. The fact that there are just a few token non-American shows in the list highlights the parochiality of the compilers as well.
I didn't really think about it when I posted the link, but you're right, it is complete Americacentric. ======= Anyway, spurring discussion and learning is the reason for publishing these lists in the first place. Even without the global perspective, I thoight it was controversial. I found it hard to believe that they thought the original Star Trek was #1. WTF were their criteria?

Plus there is too much fantasy (Buffy, Tales, & Xena), but no ST:DS9 or Red Dwarf. I'd also nominate Quark. Anyone who remembers it, knows.
