Today's salute to an "other crappy" legend: The Sonny Bono Memorial

Oh, sure, Washington, D.C. has its Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, but what did those guys ever write? Despite what "schoolhouse rock" tried to preach, you can't really sing along with the Declaration of Independence or the Emancipation Proclamation. You can't compare those to "I Got You, Babe." Ya gotta give the #1 Memorial award to Palm Springs.

On the other hand, there are times when you have to concede that the Moslems have a really good point about prohibiting pictorializations of human forms. (The link above has the full-sized picture, which is suitable for framing.)
