"Following his State of the Union address, President Bush's approval rating hits a new low"
He's heading into historical territory - Carter Country, as it were. Only four US Presidents have ever had approval ratings in the 20s

Truman 23%

Nixon 24%

Carter 28%

Bush's dad 29%

The current President holds the record for the highest approval rating of all time (90%). Can he also set the opposite record? Harry Truman held both records for about forty years, with 87/23, until Bush Sr. beat the all-time high in the Gulf War
