North Carolina wants movie scripts to be reviewed by the government
The logic behind it is that the state gives large tax credits for money spent filming in North Carolina. Therefore, in a sense, Carolina taxpayers are footing a portion of the bill. The topic came up to the front burner as a result of Hounddog - the "Dakota Fanning gets raped" movie currently stirring up a Sundance controversy.
