Here is the complete executive summary for the UN's global warming report
I strongly recommend that you read the report rather than trusting to the interpretations of politicians with an agenda or knothead journalists.

The report has already been widely misinterpreted. For example, here's what the report actually says about sea level changes from the disappearance of the Greenland ice mass: "If a negative surface mass balance were sustained for millennia, that would lead to virtually complete elimination of the Greenland ice sheet and a resulting contribution to sea level rise of about 7 m. The corresponding future temperatures in Greenland are comparable to those inferred for the last interglacial period 125,000 years ago, when paleoclimatic information suggests reductions of polar land ice extent and 4 to 6 m of sea level rise."

The key words to note there are "sustained for millennia."

And here's what it says about the Antarctic ice mass: "Current global model studies project that the Antarctic ice sheet will remain too cold for widespread surface melting and is expected to gain in mass due to increased snowfall."

By the way, I don't mean to disparage the concerns about global warming or to mimimize the significance of climate change. It's just that exaggerations do not serve the cause of understanding, and understanding is necessary for good policy. Furthermore, exaggerations are unnecessary. The real stuff is scary enough.
