Last time I enjoyed one of these I think Dean Martin was on Donny & Marie. Minutes - hours - pass as I'm folding and cutting angels out of my play-at-home ballot. At least two thank-yous to God, but I don't think He's involved. After all, if He can create the world in six days he could certainly wrap up the Oscars in three hours."

A very good point. Seinfeld has exactly the right attributes - he's a highly successful insider who maintains a healthy disrespect that falls refreshingly short of contempt. He would be guilty of neither the fawning which polluted the DeGeneres performance nor the nastiness that sunk Chris Rock. He has precisely the same combination of factors that made Bob Hope and Johnny Carson so good as hosts. I agree with Mr Movie Juice. Draft Seinfeld!
