The Weekend Warrior's box office analysis for the upcoming weekendThis should be the last week of the period when the studios dump all their losing product on us. Unfortunately, it should also be the WORST week of that period. The Super Bowl weekend is always one of the weakest of the year for the film industry, and there's no reason to expect any deviation from that this year, since the usual Super Bowl Weekend Formula is being applied: mediocre horror film versus mediocre romantic comedy. Warrior expects the top twelve to top off in the $73m-$74m range. Although the two films are in the 1-2 slots, there's no enthusiasm for them. End of story.
