Lord Monckton challenges Al Gore to a televised debate on global warming
I hope he accepts, because this would be pretty cool. The arena of the glittering "Second Great Debate" would be the elegant, Victorian Gothic Library of the Oxford Museum of Natural History, which was the setting for the original "Great Debate" between the natural scientist T. H. Huxley and Bishop Wilberforce on the theory of evolution, following the publication of Darwin's Origin of Species.

Gore gets to choose the format of the debate, so he simply needs to allow a format that will enable him to bring experts with him and to allow for preparation time between counter-arguments. If the two men choose to make it so, this could be a sensible, reasoned debate on the issues rather then the usual screaming and spinning contests they have on American TV
