Friday box office results
EXCLUSIVE EARLY 3-DAY ESTIMATES: Shia Rising - 'Disturbia' To Win Easily w/$21 million; 'Stranger' Stumbles to 4th Place Finish w/$10.9 mil; 'Pathfinder' 6th; 'Redline' 8th

Disturbia took in $8.2 million Friday, compared to only $3.7 million for the Bruce Willis - Halle Barry thriller. They were expected to run neck-and-neck, but this is one case where the reviews may have made a real difference. Critics tended to give Shia some thumbs up while turning the ol' thumbs mostly down for Bruno.

Pathfinder pulled in about $1.6 million, Redline $1.4m, Aqua Teen $1.3.

As a result of competing against two other thrillers with far bigger footprints, Ray Liotta's Slow Burn bombed completely at $300,000.

In further comeuppance for its arrogance, Grindhouse fell to tenth place, behind five of the six new releases.
