With all budgets expressed in constant 2006 dollars, Cleopatra is still the most expensive film ever made.Some films remembered as bombs did not really perform that badly. Cleopatra made money eventually, while Waterworld took in nearly $350 million globally. Even Alexander, which bombed in the States, had some respectable foreign revenues. The one unmitigated bomb on the list has been largely forgotten. The 13th Warrior, which cost nearly $200 million to make, took in less that $80 million worldwide.
