Rockies' rookie shortstop turns an unassisted triple play!
The event is so rare that there were none between 1927 and 1968, and only one between 1927 and 1992. There have been only thirteen in baseball history. Of the thirteen, eight have been turned by shortstops, three by second basemen, two by first basemen. The last first baseman to pull it off did so eighty years ago!

There has only been one in the post-season. A second baseman pulled one off in the 1920 World Series.
