I think this is regrettable, but in the internet era it is also inevitable. Let's face it, if an undercover agent or informant is identified in any one case, that fact will be common knowledge around the world within hours, and there's no way to prevent it. The web is Pandora's Box, and there is no way to stuff the evil back inside once it has been released.
