In a related story, I have found an excellent way to reduce my carbon footprint. I had been riding my bike around the neighborhood to do my bit for the environment, but my local Hummer dealer offered a massive cash rebate, so I bought the Hummer and used some of the rebate to buy carbon offsets. I bought more than I needed, so now I am actually more environment-friendly with my Hummer than I was with my bike.

I'm now looking around for a similar deal on a herd of cattle, a tobacco company, a sulfur mill, and a smelter. If I can swing enough cash upfront in the deals, I can buy enough carbon offsets so that the entire population of the world has a smaller carbon footprint than we did when we lived in caves! Your great grandchildren will be able to look back on these dark hours and thank their Uncle Scoopy for saving the world!
