'DEVIL' RELEASE HELL FOR ALEC BALDWIN
This article offers more juicy tidbits about Baldwin's version of The Devil and Daniel Webster. The distributor is releasing it with a bogus director's name - "Harry Kirkpatrick" - a fact which does not bother Baldwin in the least. A friend of his said, "This is not an Alec Baldwin film. He's in the movie but he has nothing to do with it. His name was taken off as producer and director six years ago, but he couldn't get it taken off as an actor."

The theatrical release schedule is truly odd. It is only being shown in six cities prior to the DVD release, but not the six cities you would normally expect. Not LA or Austin or New York or Chicago, but "Las Vegas, Rochester, Fort Myers, Columbus, Albuquerque and Santa Fe." I'm still trying to figure how Vegas made the list when Fond du Lac was still available!
