ESPN - Granderson sparks Tigers; Verlander shuts down M's - MLB

"Granderson is just the sixth player since 1900 with at least 20 homers, 20 triples and 20 doubles in one season."
"George Brett, in 1979 for Kansas City, was the last player to pull off the feat."

Sunny Jim Bottomley, the same guy who holds the record for most RBI in a game, is in the club, and is the ONLY guy in baseball history to reach 40-20-30 in the same season. (Musial made a great run with 46-18-39, and he hit 20 triples in two OTHER seasons. Gehrig had a 52-18-47 season, and also reached 20 triples in another season.)
