ESPN - Pettitte grabs 200th win as Yanks close in on Red Sox - MLB

Pettitte grabs 200th win as Yanks move within 1 1/2 of the Red Sox
Pettitte now owns a piece of one of baseball's more impressive records. Of all the pitchers in baseball history, Pettitte has the longest career without a losing record - 13 seasons. There are two old-timers who also made it to 13, but the difference is that they are securely retired and can't come back to post a losing record. On the other hand, they can't come back to post #14 either. Next year, Pettitte can either extend the streak to become the only guy with 14, or he can post a losing record and blow the whole thing. Even if he gets the 14th season, he can still blow it at any time in the future with an 0-1 or something. But for now, he has a little piece of immortality.

The great Dizzy Dean just missed this record, having pitched 12 seasons without a losing record. Babe Ruth had ten winning seasons as a pitcher and no losing seasons, but in five of those seasons he had three decisions or fewer.
