Riding on the powerful horsepower of its big name stars, 3:10 to Yuma crosses the finish line far ahead of the competition.Halloween takes a dramatic (70% or more) tumble.
Shoot 'em Up makes a respectable showing, finishing 2nd in the "average per theater" category and fifth overall.
The Brothers Solomon bombs completely. $271 per theater in Friday. Assuming four showings and $8.50 per ticket, that's about eight people watching each screening! (That performance is not surprising. They couldn't even find one or two respectable laughs to put in the trailer.)
Hatchet is barely noticed. It was in very limited distro, but still came up with a poor average per theater. (I found it kinda entertaining, in a cheesy 1978 kind of way.)
