Submitter wrote: "Also in honor of the holiday: The chase sequence from Disney's Sleepy Hollow. It's kind of funny, the Headless Horseman scared the living shit out me, when I was a little kid. Yeah I know, it was a cheesy, candy-ass Disney version of Sleepy Hollow but it still scared me to death. I honestly felt cheated when I discovered that the terrifying Headless Horseman, was in fact, just that dumb ass redneck, Bram Bones. And Washington Irving rewarded him for being a dumb ass redneck, by giving him the faire Katrina. Apparently, I wasn't alone in this. Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, missed the mark by a barn door but... But he tried. Although the film was a failure. He got it at a bone deep level. He took what was a silly ass, hillbilly prank, pulled on an over educated snob slumming it in the outlands and presented it as it truly is to us now. An American nightmare. The Headless Horseman was the first. Before the imports of Frankenstein and Dracula, before the uninspiring modern creations of Jigsaw, Freddy, Jason or even Norman, there was The Horseman. And he is a lot of fun.
