BBC NEWS | Scotland | New Scots tourism slogan unveiled

New Scots tourism slogan unveiled
And you think OUR government consists of a bunch of chowderheads. The Scots will spend some $250,000 to change the existing tourism signs to this vibrant new slogan: "Welcome to Scotland."

Catchy!

Speaking at Glasgow Airport, Culture Minister Linda Fabiani gave proof to the Scoopy Prime Theorem, from which all of the world's other wisdom is derived. The SPT says that no matter how bad or misguided or ridiculous an idea is, somebody somewhere will believe in it and defend it. Minister Fabiani said the images would give people a taste of the very best of Scotland. "This is not about developing flashy slogans - it's much more real that that. This is about showing what a modern, vibrant and successful country Scotland is."

Honest to God, this is not a skit from SNL or a snarky British comedy show. All of this really happened.

Who has the scoop on the real reason for the change? My working hypothesis: some politician's cousin owns the business which will haul in a major profit from re-painting the old signs.

  1. Hi from Scotland to LaLaLand.

Is the Scoopy Prime Theorem also the basis for your other working theory that everything must be corruption concealed by a conspiracy?

The fact that you think any of the old signs will be repainted with the new slogans kinda reduces the force of your post.
