Enchanted absolutely kicked ass, with a $14.4m Friday, placing it well on the way to the second-best Thanksgiving weekend of all time. It will still be far behind number one. Toy Story 2 holds the record of $80 million, which will not be approached.

This Christmas is going to do about $20 million for the weekend, making it the surprise of the year. That's about two and half times the predictions!

The Mist will turn out to be one of the year's biggest disappointments. It finished in tenth place on Friday, and the pundits were expecting it to finish third.

No Country for Old Men continued to roll in an 800-theater release. It finished third in "average revenues per theater," beaten only by Enchanted and This Christmas.
