That's great, but other pitchers of the modern era have done even better. Two examples:
- In 1972, the Phillies were 29-12 in Steve Carlton's starts, 30-85 in their other games, so he was .446 above the team.
- In 1995, the Mariners were 27-3 in Randy Johnson's starts, 52-63 in their other games. That differential is .448, just a hair better than Carlton's big year.
