Golden Compass is rthe only new film, and the xpters did not agree on it. Estimates ranged from $27m to $37m. It appears to be heading for the lower end of that range.Enchanted holds down #2, and This Christmas continues strong in the #3 slot. If it stays there , this would be the third straight week in the top three.
The #2 spot in revenues per theater (behind Compass) goes to the Coen Brothers! No Country has become a mini-hit despite limited distribution.
