Believe it or not, that will work. There are only two things feared by a scurvy sea-dog. One is the cold steel of a sharp cutless. The other is a properly organized protest. Especially one with a catchy chant. I think you remember the scene from Casablanca where the French sing the Marseillaise to drown out the Germans. This was based on a real incident in Barbados where some protestors used an especially well organized chant to drown out some pirates who were singing a sea chanty. Ever since that day, pirates have cowered before a protest chant.They say that even the ruthless Blackbeard would sooner fight Lucifer himself than cross a picket line.
