BBC NEWS | Technology | 'Hacker' launches iTunes copying

The fabled DVD Jon cracks the iTunes/iPod link.
From BBC's article linked above: "The software is available as a free download from the company's website."

From the Financial Times article: "One feature that may concern Apple and the recording industry is Double-Twist’s ability to read a user’s iTunes library and automatically convert purchased songs into unprotected MP3s. They can then be easily transferred to devices other than the iPods to which they are currently restricted."

Here is the location of the download. The Financial Times article says that venture capitalists are funding the company, but I have yet to figure out how they can make any money on it by giving it away.
