It reminds me of the time that my dad, Danny "Suits" Sparrow, was playing for the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, and he visited a sick little Dodger fan in the Brooklyn Children's Hospital. The kid's health was deteriorating because he was so afraid that my dad would clobber his home town heroes, so dad promised the kid that he would strike out four times and make a couple of errors so the the Dodgers could win the big exhibition game.He delivered everything according to plan, but the little bastard died anyway.
Man, kids are ungrateful.
The story does have a happy ending, though, because Suits laid down four large on the Dodgers at 2-1.
