Narnia disappointed with $56 million, compared to predictions in the $80-$90 range. Since that was the only new film in wide release, its failure sunk the weekend. The top 12 films grossed only $125 million, compared to $173 million in the comparable weekend last year and $153 million in 2006.The weekend's bright spot was that Iron Man and What Happens in Vegas held up better than anticipated.
