Things went according to plan. Indy performed as expected. Narnia fell faster than anticipated, but Iron Man and a couple of others held up better than expected, so that was a net wash.Despite Indy's success, the week fell far short of last year's Memorial Day, when all the stars aligned in perfect trinities: Pirates 3, Shrek 3, Spidey 3 took the top three spots, and all three of them went on to top three hundred million. Indy did better than Pirates in the top slot, but Shrek's $53 million second place was as much as Iron Man and Narnia added together!
