Most analysts thought the weekend would finish in the $130m range, but it topped out at $117 because Speed Racer failed to hit even the most conservative targets and Redbelt barely registered at all. Despite those disappointments, the week finished 11% above a weak comp from last year.In other news, Iron Man held up exactly as predicted, and the Kutcher/Diaz comedy did what it was supposed to do. Iron Man has already taken in $177 million in only 10 days, and its $50 million gross represented the 13th best "second weekend" of all time.
