Daily Box Office for Friday, August 29, 2008

It was a dead day. It's possible that no movie will make ten million over the three day weekend, although some will make it with the extra day. Babylon AD, the sci-fi film which was disowned by its own director, led the Friday pack with a mere $3 million. Traitor finished fourth, Disaster Movie 6th, College a weak 12th, Hamlet 2 a weaker 16th. The latter two will struggle to reach $1000 per theater for the Fri-Sun period.

The Dark Knight remained fairly popular, finishing fifth.
