When I was working in Zimbabwe, the travel agent told me I could not see Victoria Falls and play golf on the same trip. I told her it was my understanding that there was a course right there. She said it was closed because of the drought. I responded that if there was not enough water in the river for the golf course, then the waterfall would also be a bit boring. N'est pas? Her answer? "The problem is not the water for the course. It is lush and verdant from re-channeled river water. The problem is the lions. When there is a drought, they expand their feeding/hunting area to include the golf course." Now THAT would make the Golf Channel worth watching!
