They are the two winningest right handers to retire after 1930. Leftie Spahnie is the leader overall in that post-1930 category, but has won only 9 more than Maddux. If Maddux can hang in there to top Spahn, he would become the winningest pitcher since Pete Alexander!By the way, only three of the all-time top twenty are lefties: Spahn, Carlton, and Gettysburg Eddie Plank, who hung up the spikes in 1917!
