Collection agency duns long-dead poet - UPI.com

"A German fee collection agency has sent mail addressed to poet Friedrich Schiller reminding him to pay his TV and radio license fee."

One tiny problem. Schiller died in 1805. He is the author of Ode to Joy, which became one of the most famous poems ever written when Beethoven incorporated it into his ninth symphony. He rarely watched TV.

Beethoven, on the other hand, was a big fan of Survivor: Bavaria and was mesmerized by the Home Shopping Network. He was convinced that he could eventually find a product which could tame his perpetually unruly hair.
