I can't recall ever seeing a statistic like this: Delgo opened in 2160 theaters and grossed $125,000 ... $58 per theater ... essentially six tickets. Doubt, the Streep movie, grossed more from just 15 theaters! The all-time record low for a film in 2000 or more theaters is $899 per theater on its opening weekend, and this film could be below $200. This is, to say the least, a catastrophic result. In more normal news, The Day the Earth Stood Still came in a hair soft at $11m for Friday.
