For those of you who are good at despinning, perhaps you'd like to try translating this into unspun English:
- "That question is being discussed, analyzed, argued, tried and ruled on in a court of law. That's one way to answer the question - It is a fallback position in our society for parties in conflict to resolve disputes."
Time is up. Pass the "blue books" forward. (Do they still use "blue books" or have I just dated myself to the horse and buggy era?)OK, here's the correct answer: "We have no legal case, so we will lose, but it's just not fair ... blah blah.
Normally I would not have any sympathy for such a case, but the letter does seem to establish that Warner deserves to have the spoils from this film. Unfortunately all human societies are imperfect, and what is legal is not always just.
