If you're a baby boomer, you know his face. He appeared in just about every important TV show in the 60s. He frequently played soldiers, cops, but rugged presidents were his specialty! He played Grant, Teddy Roosevelt and Harry Truman, not to mention the President of the Assembly in Planet of the Apes. He was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his Truman.
