A spectacular weekend was headed by Friday the 13th, which accumulated the 5th highest February weekend in history for an individual film.Overall, it was the BEST February weekend in history, and by a wide margin. And last week was the fourth highest in February overall, and the best ever for the first week of February. Both of those weeks were 40+% above last year - and the movies are not at all exceptional! Looks like the world economic crisis is hitting everywhere but at the box office.
The predictions were made for a four-day weekend, so the weekly conmparison chart will appear in tomorrow's edition.
