The study shows that those who sleep later maintain their energy levels and alertness levels longer.It would be interesting to see a comparison of those who are awakened by alarm clocks compared to those who can sleep until they are no longer tired. I'm betting that the latter group would perform better. I know I have always performed much better - could not only get going faster but could also last much longer - when I could go to work when I felt like going to work, as opposed to going when somebody told me I had to be there.
