Quick impression: good glove guy who hits an anemic .240 with medium power, maybe 60-70 RBI. He once had above-average baserunning skill, but that seems to be on the wane. What's wrong with that superficial impression? He played four years in Seattle, two years at Shea and two years in San Diego - some of the most difficult hitting environments in baseball. Per 162 games on the road, he has averaged 26 homers and 91 RBI. Did you know he was just about a 100 RBI guy? Nobody else seemed to, either, but the Brewers figured it out, signed him, and got a solid #5 hitter who can still play the hell out of center field. Last year he had 25 homers, 70 RBI in 3/4 of a season - on pace for 33-93. This year he is doing even better.
